Brother Charger 22
This machine belonged to my grandmother, and is with me now. It works remarkably well, given its age and travel.

Conversation in the Courts of Chaos Automat
"Who is the hero of this story?" she asked.
"That's for the author to say," he replied.
"But... that's you," she argued.
"Hardly," he said, finishing his sandwich.
"Well if not you, then--"
"Are you going to finish that?" he asked.
"My sandwich, or my sentence?"
"Let's resolve the more important of the two first," he smiled.
She sighed, and pushed her plate across the table.

Late summer night
It's in the dying light of a late summer evening when you become aware of the blood of your life moving like a river, and it runs over stones you thought you'd buried, stones which have been uncovered by the flow of a lifetime, polished smooth stones that give your blood a sound as it pours over them, a sound that is as uniquely yours as your DNA, a sobbing, laughing, white-raging melody that tells the story of madness and love that exists every moment that you choose to live.

Serve the Queen
I'm not going to serve the Queen today
I don't think she'll miss it anyway.
The sky is too cloudy and moody and gray
So I don't think I'll serve the Queen today.
I won't be serving the Queen today
The eggs are all off and the milkman's away.
Her door is still closed just why I can't say
But I will not be serving the Queen today.
